The Community First Aid and the citizenAID® System course is designed to equip members of the public with essential life-saving skills to respond effectively during emergencies involving multiple casualties, particularly those resulting from deliberate attacks. Developed in collaboration with citizenAID®- a UK charity committed to empowering communities - this course promotes practical, immediate action that can save lives before professional help arrives.
Focusing on simple, effective steps, the course covers what to do if you encounter someone in need of urgent medical assistance. You’ll learn how to assess the scene, prioritise treatment, and provide basic life support to those injured in a range of emergency scenarios, including terrorist incidents.
The course introduces the citizenAID® system- a structured approach designed to help ordinary people stay calm and act decisively in high-pressure situations. Topics include scene safety, triage, dealing with catastrophic bleeding, and communicating effectively with emergency services.
Delivered in a clear, accessible format, this course is ideal for schools, community groups, event organisers, workplaces, and individuals looking to feel more prepared in today’s world. The training takes around 2 to 3 hours to complete, depending on your specific requirements.
This course supports the citizenAID® mission: to build more resilient communities by ensuring more people have the confidence and knowledge to respond when it matters most.
