• It is relevant to all work activities and premises except certain offshore installations and particular ships
• It will also be of particular interest and practical help primarily to engineers (including those involved in design, construction, operation or maintenance of electrical systems and equipment), technicians and their managers
• References to relevant regulations, standards and publications have been updated
• The Mines Regulations 2014 came into force on 6 April 2015 and revoked regulations 17 to 28 and Schedule 1 of the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 which previously applied only at mines
